My Mother

iScriblr_mother

From brushing my hair, to grooming my self-respect,
From gratifying my childhood follies, to humoring my adult deflects;

From scolding me for when I messed up, to molding me into a fine human,
From holding my hands forever, to apprising me of my acumen.

From braving the worldly adversities, to composing a sense of self-belief within me,
From withstanding all the life troubles, to teaching me to stand up and never flee.

From enduring everything that a woman endures, to crafting me into a woman of substance,
From loving us with your all your heart, to embracing our imperfections in abundance.

You have always been an inspiration, a counselor.. Yes, my permanent affair,
Your strength, your sense, your devotion, can no other being compare.

Thank you Mama for believing in me when the world didn't bother,
I am gratified, fulfilled, beholden, enlivened that you are my MOTHER!

I love you Mama!
