A tree so lifeless, Exists - forsaken, flouted. Waiting for some love!

DAY 13 prompt is – HUGGING A TREE.
The Bishnois of India are known to be one of the earliest tree huggers. In 1730, 363 Bishnois were killed while trying to peacefully protect a grove of Khejri trees in the village of Khejarli. This was also a precursor to the 20th century Chipko movement.
Recent studies have proved that trees provide health benefits. Hugging a tree increases levels of oxytocin, which is responsible for feelings of love, bonding and well-being. Have you been to a park or a forest lately? Did you notice the trees there? Do you know the names of the trees lining your street? And have you ever hugged a tree? Which is your favorite tree memory? What’s your take on the prompt?
Poetry Form – HAIKU.
An un-rhymed Japanese poem recording the essence of a moment. Nature is combined with human nature. It usually consists of three lines of 5/7/5 (5 kana in the first line, 7 kana in the second line, and 5 kana in the third line) totaling seventeen kana.
In all honesty, I really am struggling with completing the challenge this year y’all! Diurnal nose-bleed (even in this weather!), snuggling down in the new house (with a million other things to do!), unpacking (like a gazillion boxes!), festivities (it’s DIWALI in a few days!) – has all been taking a toll on my WP reading, commenting and responding. I’m really sorry for my DELAYED responses. Hopefully, things will get better (someday!) Till then, please bear with me and my sluggishness.

Some friends have shown that talking to a tree, and spending time underneath it, actually is followed by its blossoming and growing.
