The Pink Kind Of Love

If we could buy love,
I would pick me up a bright pink one,
The one with frills, meshes and laces,
And a hint of shimmering-sunny ribbons.

I would forever carry that love in my heart,
For precious to me it will be,
No, I would not, never trade it,
On him I'll never cheat.

Flaunting my peachy love around,
I will bask in the righteous glory of pride,
Wearing my love on my sleeves,
I promise, I'll do him good till I die.

Such love is complicated to find, 
No stores in stock have it any more,
No burgundies, no maroons will my heart mend,
Only the pink ones have my cure.

If you happen to find my "pink" love, 
Will you keep it safe for me?
Tell him that I loved him,
I am sorry, together we couldn't be!

Day 27 word prompt is “WHAT COLOR IS IT?”

Suggested Form – Select a random noun. When you see an image of this person/place/thing, what color is it? Brainstorm the different ways the color can be described. Write a poem to help us see something in color through your eyes.

Keeping in mind the “festivities” that are over burdening my creativity and taking a toll on my mental health – here’s one of my old poems that I’d written sometime back. Since it perfectly fits in with the requirements of the prompt and the theme, I couldn’t stop myself from posting this yet again!

  26. This is adorable. It reminds me that, when Penny died, I used her pink digital camera for eleven months, until our son bought me a more “masculine” model and I gave the pink one to the granddaughter of Penny’s best female friend. (I was her best friend, overall.)
