How To Let Go

Past – bygone, prior, elapsed! So, why dwell on something that is no more? Are you hanging onto the past and finding it hard to let go?

iScriblr letgo

“Blame doesn’t empower you. It keeps you stuck in a place you don’t want to be because you don’t want to make the temporary, but painful decision, to be responsible for the outcome of your own life’s happiness.” – Shannon L. Alder

Undoubtedly, letting go can be difficult! Specially, when it comes to people, expectations, love, desires, unhealthy relationships, faith, beliefs, thoughts – that you have invested your time, efforts and life into! It’s a continued list, which is stuck in your head like a broken record. It is painful and for sure taxing. The reason I know this and understand the progression, is because I held onto the past for a long time. No matter how hard I tried, letting go was the hardest thing for me to do. It didn’t matter if it was people, expectations, beliefs or disappointments, the past always seemed to have power over me. The more I tried, the more I relieved the past (and the pain!)

Things To Do In Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge

Hey Everyone! It’s time for some travelling updates and stories of my voyaging! Hope you all are as excited about it, as me?

Well, finally the “dry travelling spell” broke! Thanks to the weather Gods, we (Me and my Huz) were able to spread our wings and go for the much-anticipated extended weekend trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Yay!

One of the most popular tourist destinations, much-publicized for the “colors of the fall”, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge boasts of – fascinating scenic beauty, locally owned restaurants serving scrumptious food, Dollywood theme park and the Stampede theater (both owned by country music superstar Dolly Parton), Ober Gatlinburg (which is the only ski resort in Tennessee!), Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Gatlinburg Sky Lift, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, Hollywood Star Cars Museum and Anakeesta (one of the best amusement parks in Gatlinburg) to name a few, not forgetting the breathtaking trails and trekking opportunities!
Indeed a traveler’s paradise, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge sure do have so much history, fun, treks n’ trails and food to offer and LOVE!

Well, it took us 6 h 50 min to reach our destination (Pigeon Forge) from Memphis, Tennessee (Distance covered – 425.5 mi/684.7 km) via I-40 and I-40 E. With some exaggerated bends and picture-perfect scenic views – the drive gets better by the hour.

MLK 50

Hey Everyone!

This April 4th commemorates the 50th  anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. one of the most poignant advocates for human equality and civil reform in U.S. History! .
What’s more appropriate than remembering him “for his role in the advancement of civil rights by using the tactics of non-violence and civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs and inspired by the non-violent activism of Mahatma Gandhi,” through few of his thoughts and quotes that inspired the world!
