Springtime Promises

Hey Everyone! I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend!

Let’s kill the “Monday Blues” with some Real Talk!
PS – I am really sorry to have been MIA from the blogging world – I’m still struggling with, and surviving the “tough life-choices” that we’ve had to undergo as a family. Here’s to hoping that we regain our “sanity-levels” soon enough, and I’m able to get back to regularity. *fingers crossed*

For our MONDAY MOTIVATION special – I’m sharing with y’all a quote that I’d read on Facebook at a page called – Motivational Quotes, while looking for something substantial to read (to take my mind off the mayhem) and to feel a little better about life.

Ah, such simple words, brimming with “sunshine” and hope!

Well my fam, have you ever had a time in your life when you felt like you were losing everything? I have! (A little more than usual. Sigh!)
From losing my job, my friends and my life back at home in India, to sometimes loosing my individuality and spirit in efforts to build up a new life for myself here (at a completely new place) – I have lost, LEARNT and lived to realize that this is what “LIFE” in all it’s entireness is – a constant, never-ending cycle of hardships, learning and survival.

“In every change, in every falling leaf there is some pain, some beauty. And that’s the way new leaves grow.”
― Amit Ray

Thankfully, things did get better for me. Post some dark clouds and silver linings, with abounding struggles and exertion, I shook off all the deep-rooted fears and eluded apprehensions and limiting beliefs, to finally regain my peace of mind and sparkle. I agree, it’s been an uphill task to say the least, with abundant apprehensions and trails. But once I realized that “I was the master of my own fate” – it was easy for me to “channelize” my thoughts, energy and diligence towards achieving what I’d lost (or thought I’d lost) and patiently wait for “my time to come!”

“Every tree in the forest has a story to tell. Some of them were burnt but they endured the fire and got revived; some of them were cut, their barks injured, some people pick up their leaves to make medicines for their sicknesses, birds used their leaves to make their nests, etc. Upon all these, the tree is still tree!”
― Israelmore Ayivor, Shaping the dream

Yes, life for sure can be “cruel” and sometimes, the conditions might be “harsh” and “unfavorable” for you to thrive. Yes, it’s a crazy existence – with numerous twists and turns and constant battles. Yes, life will throw curve-balls at you, it will humble you, it will attempt to break you down. But remember, there is nothing in this world that can stop you from “being” what you decide to be, all you have to do is “keep the faith” and “believe” that the “current” situation is not PERMANENT, but just a phase, that will pass!

At last the spring had arrived, breathing warm winds over the desolate landscape. The disheveled grasses soon became lush, erasing even the memory of their wintry selves. The trees budded with leaf and blossom, and the harsh sleet became soft rain. The children looked entirely different, their heads no longer entombed in woolen toques – instead their hair flowed black, blonde, brown and red in the streaming light. The remnants of snow had entirely vanished and the rivers swelled with the melt water. The only brilliant white remaining was that on the snowy peaks of the mountains that ringed the otherwise flat land.
Angela Abraham

Knowing that things were meant to happen, knowing that each day we learn something new, knowing that everything in your future is NOT determined by your past and realizing that “every dark cloud has a silver lining” – abets us to breathe a little lighter and attempt the NEW!
Remember, you are as ripe today as you’re ever going to be, and with that understanding comes an enabling choice – you can either overcome your circumstances and arise, or you can let circumstances vanquish you. Believe that you can, and you will!

Here’s to starting afresh and hoping for the best! Happy SPRINGTIME!

Love,

  3. ♥️ so true! Beautifully written. “Diamonds are formed under pressure, but it does not happen overnight. ” You are being forced to shine in the future, so these set backs, or stumbles only make you sparkle like a diamond wrapped up in gold. One of my favorite memes I saw once: “And When You Become a Diamond, You’ll See Why Life Had to Pressure You.” xx

  4. I can feel you on that struggle when my two children and I joined my husband in the city. I was uprooted too. It was the best decision so I embraced the change though it’s so hard. 5. “Happy SPRINGTIME!”
Or, in my case, Richa – Happy AUTUMN!
Thankfully, we are beginning to see a little autumn weather. From the way too long summer heat, the days are now starting to cool. With autumn comes the beginning of slowing down within; taking moments to reflect and ponder; realising that, just as the yearly seasons bring change, so too the cycles of change within our lives. And, just as the seasons bring a multitude of happenings; so-called good, bad and indifferent – so too our lives.
Here’s to more strength of mind for us all as we navigate the winding roads yet to travel.. 💕

It’s very difficult to come from another country to because you can’t maintain the same connections with people back home. I think that has been the most difficult part for me.

  9. Sorry to hear about the rough times. But when life is hard, and you don’t give up, the other side is sweeter for it.
Loved the quote by Amit Ray.
