Skydeck – Wordless Wednesday

iScriblr_chicago
The famous Chicago Skyline as seen from THE SKYDECK aka The Willis Tower, which is the second tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. (The Skydeck on the 103rd floor is the highest observation deck in the U.S., at 1,353 feet off the ground!)

This post is in response to the Wordless Wednesday prompt on WordPress where a “picture says a thousand words!”

    1. You bet!😍
Willis Tower is 1,450 feet high, but when you add the twin antennae it clocks in at 1,730 feet! Where as Stratosphere Tower is 1,149 feet tall.

      1. That’s 200+ foot higher. That Stratosphere Tower creeps me out, won’t go up there when it’s windy as it has a very noticeable sway at the top. I can get as high and higher on the edge of the valley on the mountain slopes.

          1. You will love the city views! Of course they have the hotel but there are shoppes and restaurants too.

    1. I agree! This is one of the many views that you get to see from up top. Next week (Wordless Wednesday) I’m gonna post another “view”of Chicago’s skyline! 🙂

  1. I don’t think I told you, but my son moved to Chicago about 2 weeks ago. Cant wait to get back there! Gorgeous pics btw 💕💕

  2. Richa, we always have similar experiences! I was born and raised in Chicago aaaand, I was just there and took a similar photo this past summer.

    1. Aww.. I grew over my fear of heights when I was a little kid – And soon realized that the fear was just in my head! Hopefully, someday you will too! 🙂

Thank you so much sweetie.. Appreciate you stopping by!❤️

    1. That’s the price you pay in the name of development, sadly!
However, as a matter of fact – Chicago is a city in a garden, with – 600 parks, 500 playgrounds, 70 nature and bird sanctuaries, 307 fields for soccer, football, lacrosse and more, 250 field houses, 534 tennis courts and 6 indoor courts, 80 swimming pools and 29 beaches! 1. I swear! Chicago has some of the best architectural structures that I’ve ever seen! Plus, the skyline is to die for!😍😍

  3. I’ve never been to Chicago or seen much of it on tv, or in photos, really. Gorgeous view. Very cool photo. I don’t even go up in the Space Needle, have gone once, and it’s only 605 feet.
