Petty Disguise

iScriblr_poem_sadness

I have wandered through sadness,
lost hope and failed,
Allied with despair and befriended hate.

With dark clouds,
gloomy skies and hopelessness to my release,
I have cried a million tears of disbelief.

Walking habitually through the boulevards of broken dreams,
I have been mislaid,
my faith did dim.

Shambled, broken and incurably dejected,
Full of remorse,
my life has always been misguided and defeated.

My existence has been cruel,
I have paid the price,
The smile that you see today is just another petty disguise!

  1. Wow, awesome job. Not sure if it’s a true telling of how your feeling or just a great way to describe the feeling. Tells a story of hurt left for your own perspective.

  2. I am so grateful when you tap me on my shoulder and smile hello. Then I arrive at you doorstep and look what I find … such lovely writing! 💜❤️
