3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag (Forgiveness)

Hey Everyone! I hope y’all are having a great day!

I have been named again for the 3 Days, 3 Quotes Tag! Yay! *happy dance* Thank you Kerrie from Sunshine – Courage In Living for tagging me. It’s indeed a pleasure!

FYI – Well this time too this tag comes with a twist folks – I am posting all the three quotes in one post for the three days. Yet again, I am really sorry about being such a rebel lately, life’s been a little caught up with a little this here and a little that there! (Ah, life!)

On a brighter side, the theme for today’s post is “FORGIVENESS” – something that we constantly seek but forget to extend! Here’s something more about it –

Forgive and move on!

Seek your peace and forgive!

Be brave! Forgive often!

MY TAKE ON THE QUOTES

Undoubtedly, letting go and forgiving people (and yourself) can be difficult! Specially, when it comes to people, expectations, love, desires, unhealthy relationships, faith, beliefs, thoughts – that you have invested your time, efforts and life into! It’s a continued list, which is stuck in your head like a broken record. It is painful and for sure taxing. The reason I know this and understand the progression, is because I held onto the past (grudges) for a long time. No matter how hard I tried, letting go and forgiving others was the hardest thing for me to do. It didn’t matter if it was people, expectations, beliefs or disappointments, the past always seemed to have power over me. The more I tried, the more I relieved the past (and the pain!)

It was only after I realized (post years of heart breaks and introspection), that it was ME who owned myself and my thoughts, and my happiness and peace was as simple as “FORGIVING!” – everyone and everything – that I was able to break free of the omnipresent frustration.
Finally, I was the master of my own happiness and well-being and my peace of mind was in my hands! I realized that my past did not commensurate my future and all that mattered was what I did in the present moment. (It is very empowering to believe in your self-worth, knowing that you are in control of your own life.)

But we get to learn the goodness of that through reading posts such as this. That’s so great and thank you for choosing me. I would love to share some quotes that I love. Thank you so much. ❤

  2. This is so true. I have a hard time forgiving people because the sad thing is I remember the hurts so much more I really try to retrain my brain not to think like that. Thanks for the quotes!

    1. I agree! It is easier said then done. But then it’s always better to be selfish about your own happiness than worrying about people who in all reality mean nothing! 🙋
      Thanks love!💕

  3. I can forgive (not forget) because I can never trust the person again. But definitely, live in peace with the past.

    1. I agree.. Yes, not forgetting the “wongers” as a lesson learnt is a good way of keeping such people at bay!🙋

  4. Great quotes. Well said. I don’t forget quickly, but I made it my goal to forgive quickly. Ultimately it is in MY best interest. The toxicity isn’t worth it.
