Hey Everyone! I hope y’all are doing wonderful!

Yay, I am back again with another amazing tag! Rory from A Guy Called Bloke and Doodlepip’s Adventures is hosting a great many challenges with a romantic theme to help us come through the Valentine’s hullabaloo! Plus, if you participate diligently – you might just claim a £15 Amazon Gift Card too in addition to all the popularity! So here I am, trying my luck at LOVE! *fingers crossed*

PS – Even though the challenge was divided into three parts, I’m collating all three together for easy access! *rebel alert*

Let’s get the fun started –

1 Roughly how many cards are exchanged every year for Valentine’s Day?

One Billion in the US! And Approximately 144 million worldwide! Yeah, talk about love being “under rated!”

2 If you are single you can celebrate Single Awareness Day aka S.A.D

True! In the US, National Singles Day is celebrated on 22 September, in China on 11 November, and 15 February in the United Kingdom and India.
It’s indeed an exciting way to have fun without any “extra baggage” and unwanted “coochie-cooing!” On a brighter side – You may either travel to Brazil and witness the Brazilian Carnival (which happens in June, after you’ve saved up on some dolla bills) or celebrate Mardi Gras instead, which occurs around the same time as Valentine’s Day (and is of course more fun if you are single!)

3 When did England officially declare Valentine’s Day as a holiday?

  9. Sorry to ping out but minor correction – I guess you meant to write 1 *million* in US & 144 million worldwide. Anyway, loved to read this post (pun intended), especially that poem at the end – impressive. Also, I don’t want to be a participant of S.A.D anymore. Any one to the rescue? 🙂

    1. Hahaha.. I wish you were right! There are approximately 1 billion Valentine`s Day cards exchanged every year in the U.S. alone – as per Mr Google. And Approximately 144 million Valentine’s Day cards are exchanged industry-wide (not including packaged kids’ valentines for classroom exchanges), making Valentine’s Day the second-largest holiday for giving greetings cards!

      Hahaha.. May be this Valentine’s you get your SAD fix! #keepTheFaith 😉

      1. But isn’t 1 billion >> 144 million? That’s mathematical fallacy. I couldn’t find that 1 billion figure on Google. But if it’s true, I have a lot of questions.

        Probably that’s why I have been dragged into S.A.D every year. Still searching for that one #AakhirKabTak 😛

          1. Oh you have no idea. Do you see how long ‘Paradise Lost’ poem is? Now replace those lines with names and there you have my ‘Conversation Lost’ anthology 😛 So I did some analytics of the stubs where the strings were cut and it happened to fall mostly in that logic part. Probably I have been interacting with the wrong demography. Thanks for the wish! 🙂 #BaharNahiBasEkChahiye
