Sunday Stills : Macro Shots

Hey Everyone! I hope y’all are doing wonderful!

Welcome to Terri’s Photo Challenge : Sunday Stills. Yet another day, another exciting prompt and a “perfect” WPC substitution!

This week’s theme is “MACRO SHOTS” and in all honesty I must confess that I consider myself a novice when it comes to “photographic” skills – where I am still learning the art of getting the “right shot” especially when it comes to “macros!” Nevertheless, here are a few of the macro-shots experiments done at the Memphis Zoo with my winged friends as subjects.

So there you have it folks – My version of a close-up call with the birdies!

Sunday Stills is a weekly photography link-up co-hosted by Terri Webster Schrandt on her blog Second Wind Leisure Perspectives. Each week there is a new word prompt to inspire a shared photo (or photos). Follow this link to learn more about it, see other submissions, and to share your own. Come and join in the fun folks!

    1. Hahaha.. Ikr!! Me too! 😉
Guess, my Canon EOS Rebel T6i helped me a little plus I have zoomed in and cropped the pictures to fill up the frame to create a “macro” look! 🙂

      Thank you so much!❤

  1. Wow they look awesome.. I’m no expert in my photography (but my hubby is.. Once his collection got featured in one of the galleries in NYC)
    Your shots looks great.
Well done Richa. Will show it my hubby.

    1. Wow, that’s awesome! He must be real good at it! 🙂

Hehe.. I am still a novice, trying to understand the logic of a good photograph (though my Huz tries and helps!) 😉
Thank you so much for your appreciation sweetie❤

        1. That’s great. I am sure it’s a great exposure and experience! I too am contemplating joining one – hopefully someday I will! 🙂
Till then, my experiments will adorn the WP reader! 😉

  2. What stunning photography! I myself love all birds, minus Blue Jays. They are very territorial and attack. I know this first hand. I’ve had my Amazon Yellow Nape parrot (Peanut) for over 30 years, and he is not just a pet, I consider the little dude to be my son.
I also loved all the quotes that coincided with this. Truly beautiful! 🙂

    1. Thank you so so much!❤

Wow, having Peanut must be fun!❤
I have always wanted to have a bird of my own but still haven’t had the chance – Someday, may be!

      1. If you ever look for a bird, word of advice… Go through a breeder, not a pet store. Plus, educate yourself on the type of bird you want to have as a pet. When I went to adopt Peanut, he picked us by jumping off a perch and under my hair. I fell in love with him in that very second.

        1. That’s a wonderful advise! I’ll keep these points in mind. (And reach out to you in case there’s some confusion!)🙂

          Thank you so much!❤️
