Sunday Stills : How We Travel

Hey Everyone! I hope y’all are doing wonderful!

Welcome to Terri’s Photo Challenge : Sunday Stills. Yet another day, another exciting prompt and a “perfect” WPC substitution.

The theme is “TRANSPORTATION” and I am shamelessly more than a week late in posting this! (Thanks to the OctPoWriMo Challenge that I am participating in, making time for other posts gets a little demanding plus lets not forget the “malware” attack!) Nevertheless, I’ve got a perfect set of pictures illustrating various modes of commute and to make up for the delay.
Ranging from old school “horse buggy” to modern-day “pay as you go” EXPLORE cycles – I present to y’all my “portage-pictures!”

Seen in the picture (if you zoom in well enough) – A pusher, pusher craft, or tow-boat (a boat designed for pushing barges or car floats). A common sight on your walks by the Mississippi river.

Seen in the picture – The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) Trolley – one of the largest transit operators in the state of Tennessee! A MATA ride is a must-do when in town!

Just another day when you spot a Zombie Outbreak Response Team Jeep callously cruising around!

Seen in the picture – One of the famous tourist-cruise ships on Table Rock Lake, Branson, MI. Another must-do in your travel itinerary!

Seen in the picture – The Memphis Suspension Railway or Mud Island Monorail! A suspended monorail that connects the city center of Memphis with the entertainment park on Mud Island.

Seen in the picture – The Branson Scenic Railway! It is a heritage railroad in Branson, Missouri – departing from a historic depot in downtown Branson and operating in the scenic Ozark Mountains for an approximate 40-mile (64 km) round trip.

Seen in the picture – An age-old “grand” way to explore the streets on New Orleans – Horse and Carriage Tours!

Sunday Stills is a weekly photography link-up co-hosted by Terri Webster Schrandt on her blog Second Wind Leisure Perspectives. Each week there is a new word prompt to inspire a shared photo (or photos). Follow this link to learn more about it, see other submissions, and to share your own. Come and join in the fun folks!
