“FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION” Challenge! CELEBRATION!
Hey Everyone! I hope y’all are having a wonderful day! Welcome to the WEEK 17 of “FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION” Challenge! *Happy Thursday*
ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
Every Thursday, I will pick up a “prompt word” to be acted upon by y’all. You are free to go wild with your imagination and interpret the “prompt” in any way that you like – photo, prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, quotes, articles or drawing/painting – whatever works for you!
In short, it’s all about you being the BOSS and choosing the best way possible to express and depict your understanding of the prompt and go berserk!
Vantage Point – Wordless Wednesday
Blue Nile Ethiopian Kitchen
Hey everyone! I hope y’all are going great!
I am back again with my sightseeing shenanigans and reviews on restaurants and eating joints!
Braving the frigid cold weather and stony rains (it was 43°F/6°C in Memphis, this Saturday), Me and my Huz finally decided to do something different this weekend, other than just whiling away our time on Netflix watching Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes! Our exploration got us to a “small wonder” called – Blue Nile Ethiopian Kitchen – a “haven” for lip-smacking Ethiopian food!
Brain child of Ermyias Shiberou, who is originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Blue Nile Ethiopian Kitchen promises to be authentic to the T and in all honesty it does deliver to the promise! Starting just as a humble food truck (called Stickem), to graduating to a regular “brick-and-mortar” restaurant in 2015, it is a place to devour unique and flavorful food, the inspiration for all of which comes from his Mother. From using re-purposed materials and railings, to the colorful folk art mural painted by local artist Gina Sposto that catches your eyes as soon as you walk in, BNEK – is a perfect little place to have some good time and enjoy genuinity.
Currently functioning out of Madison in the heart of Midtown, this place is quite famous among the locals and tourists alike, offering food that pleases both, the gut and the heart!
Food/Drinks ordered – We ordered the VEGETARIAN PLATTER which was served with INJERA (the Ethiopian flatbread) and washed down with “hot” spicy TEA.

5 Tips to Feel More Grateful and Blissful
Hey Everyone! I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend!
Let’s kill the “Monday Blues” with some Real Talk and GRATITUDE!
Gratitude means thankfulness, noticing simple pleasures and acknowledging everything that you draw. It means that you are content with what you have and appreciate and value the quality of your life, without any complaints. Being thankful shifts your focus from what is lacking in your life to the abundance that is already present. It means – learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a “continuous basis” of how much you’ve been given. In short, it means that you say “Thank You” often and always!
Here are a few simple things to try to start feeling a little more blissful on a regular basis –
“Start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart.”

Invisible Lover – In Other Words
Desiring your consideration, I have cried a million tears. "Invisible" to your complacency, I have died a million deaths. Inconspicuous indulgence! Your nearsightedness annihilates me, I can no longer take this any more. I wonder how can you be so unseeing and my love be so obscure?
