Hey Everyone!
This April 4th commemorates the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. one of the most poignant advocates for human equality and civil reform in U.S. History! .
What’s more appropriate than remembering him “for his role in the advancement of civil rights by using the tactics of non-violence and civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs and inspired by the non-violent activism of Mahatma Gandhi,” through few of his thoughts and quotes that inspired the world!
Thank you Rev. King for your life and what you did for us all! Your perseverance, purpose, courage and philosophy – are truly appreciated and reverenced.
Love,

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter. I have never heard that before. I’m going to take five minutes out and reflect upon that
Indeed dynamic words!
About the quote (FYR) – King was engaged in a battle with Sheriff Jim Clark over voting rights and voter registration in Selma. On March 8, 1965, King spoke from the pulpit on courage – “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” (From the internet.)
I must have missed that when I saw a film about the vote in Selma.
Thank you.
No worries!👍
Beautiful post, Richa. Every one of those quotes is something to reflect on today…
