ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

Every Thursday, I will pick up a “prompt word” to be acted upon by y’all. You are free to go wild with your imagination and interpret the “prompt” in any way that you like – photo, prose, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, quotes, articles or drawing/painting – whatever works for you!
In short, it’s all about you being the BOSS and choosing the best way possible to express and depict your understanding of the prompt and go berserk!

TOPIC FOR TODAY : FATHER/DAD/POP

This is the first time that I’m including a “relationship” as our prompt for FOE. Well, with FATHER’S DAY just around the corner, I couldn’t help myself! Here’s my take on it –

iScriblr_fathersDay

“I believe that what we become depends on what our fathers teach us at odd moments, when they aren’t trying to teach us. We are formed by little scraps of wisdom.”
― Umberto Eco, Foucault’s Pendulum

“There is no teacher equal to mother and there’s nothing more contagious than the dignity of a father.”
― Amit Ray, World Peace: The Voice of a Mountain Bird

“A father’s tears and fears are unseen, his love is unexpressed, but his care and protection remains as a pillar of strength throughout our lives.”
― Ama H.Vanniarachchy

“The greatest thing a father can do for his children is to respect the woman that gave birth to his children. It is because of her that you have the greatest treasures in your life. You may have moved on, but your children have not. If you can’t be her soulmate, then at least be thoughtful. Whom your children love should always be someone that you acknowledge with kindness. Your children notice everything and will follow your example.”
― Shannon L. Alder, 300 Questions Lds Couples Should Ask for a More Vibrant Marriage

“When I was small I felt like a Superhero as my father threw me up in the air.
Now after reaching this success peak I unmask – Real Superhero made me Superhero!”
― Hasil Paudyal

“Many fathers believe the lie that they play a second-class role to the mother. If you are a father, I want to remind you that your children want and need you. You are critical to their well-being and success.”
― Mandi Hart, Parenting with Courage: Shaping Lives, Leaving a Legacy

So there you have it folks – my take on the word FATHER!

Well y’all, what comes to your mind when you hear the word FATHER? Are there any FATHERLY memories that you’ll want to share with us? Or would you rather talk about a FATHER FIGURE that you’ve always wanted to have? Hit me up and share!
