Combat your usual winter skin woes such as dryness, redness and irritation and look your “gorgeous self” by whipping up one of these 3 DIY face masks using what you probably already have in your kitchen.

1. AVOCADO FACE MASK

Ah, my favorite! For this all you have to do is – mash-up an avocado and combine it with a tablespoon of olive oil. The oil helps to extract toxins from the skin and the avocados are loaded with skin-loving vitamin E, which reduces inflammation – making your skin ultra-moisturized and refreshed. Apply a thin layer to your skin, leave for about 15 minutes, and rinse.Β This concoction is super rich – with plenty of nutrients, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids to really soften the skin and help fight wrinkles.

2. OATMEAL FACE MASK

While winter skin is most often known for being dry and cracking, that doesn’t mean you should skip to exfoliate. The secret is to be caring! For this exfoliation mask – cook up a cup of oatmeal with milk and let cool. Mix in a spoonful of organic raw honey (which is antibacterial and healing). Make sure it’s not too pudgy and easily sticks your face. Gently apply to skin and leave on for 10-15 minutes, and rinse. This blend is perfect for that overall “healthy – gleaming skin!” If you’d like, you may also add a drop of almond oilΒ (which is rich in vitamin E and antioxidants) to the paste for extra rejuvenation.

3. PUMPKIN FACE MASK

Got a can of pumpkin lurking over in your fridge? Mix it up (about a cup) with a couple of tablespoons each of plain yogurt, honey and brown sugar. Apply evenly to skin and rinse off after about 15 minutes. Packed with zinc, antioxidants, and vitamins – pumpkins protect your skin from wrinkles and age spots as well as gently exfoliating the skin for a more radiant complexion. The yogurt fights bacteria and unclog pores and the healing power of honey will soothe the skin, guaranteeing a chemical-free GLOW!

Note – Make sure to cleanse beforehand and rinse thoroughly after each mask and of course, only use ingredients you know your skin isn’t irritated by. (Patch test works best!)
