We all know about my life story – The story about changing countries, marital status and job profile, all at once! (Things happen, you see!) From being a career oriented woman to “just” a home-maker and from being a “happy-go-lucky” spirit to a “down-trodden” mortal – “LIFE” sure did storm in like a “tsunami!”
Well, that was then! Thankfully, things changed for good. Post some dark clouds and silver linings, with abounding struggles and exertion, I realized – “this is how life is supposed to be – with some obvious highs and lows” and every accompanying struggle and uncertainty is a permanent baggage that we ALL carry. No escape! Period.
I did what I was supposed to do – I shook off all the deep-rooted fears and eluded apprehensions and limiting beliefs, to finally regain my peace of mind and sparkle. I agree, it’s been an uphill task to say the least, with abundant apprehensions and trails. But once I realized that “I was the master of my own fate” – it was easy for me to “channelize” my thoughts, energy and diligence towards achieving what I’d lost (or thought I’d lost!)
I was nominated for this super fun “The TV Shows To Watch When You Have A Flu” Tag by Ray from RAYNOTBRADBURY! *happy happy*
About the tag, well – it’s a simple joyful tag, where you share your favorite 3 shows and 3 treasured heroes from it!
I am the “needy-down-and-out” kinds when it comes to being unwell. Well, to be honest, I ignore, disregard and overlook my ailment till it reaches to a point of no return and extremity and that is when I need my dose of handsome, good-looking men and suave moves! Who minds a little lovin’, eh? *blush-blush*
Getting straight to the fun, here’s my version of the tag –
1 MCDREAMY FROM GREY’S ANATOMY
Oh yasss, the healing powers of LOVE! No “pharmaceutical-pill” in the world does what McDreamy does to you. For the days when you just want to cuddle up in your blankie and binge-watch on the wackiness of medicament, relationships and rapture – Nothing beats Grey’s Anatomy and its impressive story-line.
We all feel stress in our lifetime! Dismally, stress is an inevitable part of our lives and there is nothing much that we can do about it, other than to stand up against it and fight back. There could be better days, there could be good days and on other days you are a chaos!
Yay! After a long wait, the world of Sense8 is finally back! Even though, instead of being a whole “full-blown” season (which I would have obviously preferred), The Wachowskis had to wrap it all up in just “two and a half hours season finale!” Nevertheless, I am just glad that it finally happened and the fans (like me) got the closure that we so wanted. (Only wish – If only it could go on for ever!) *bittersweet*
Well, it’s amazing how you sometimes associate so “in person” with some of the TV shows and they actually feel like a “real” part of you – may be because, somewhere deep down inside you are looking for your own “sensate” to reach out to or may be, you believe in “miracles” that could save this world one day? Whatever may be the reason, I have to admit, that I, never have been so impacted by any other series, as much as I am with Sense8. Confession – YES, I AM A BIG SENSE8 FAN!
I was nominated for this super fun “My Day In Pictures” Tag by Ray from RAYNOTBRADBURY and honestly, nothing has been ever so exciting! (Well, apologies for being so super enthusiastic – may be the painkillers are setting in!) About the tag, well – it’s a simple joyful tag, where you share your day – photographically!
Getting straight to the fun, here’s how my Saturday looked like –
Hey Everyone! I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend! Well, mine was super “BOMB!” *woot woot*
So, what do you do when you get a chance to meet your GODS – You know, the kind of deities that you have worshiped, celebrated and idolized all your lives? For starters, you jump right at the opportunity, even if it means that you have to drive down 211.9 miles (341 km) to a different town, postponing your RCT (Root Canal Treatment) for another day! Well who’d said attaining “NIRVANA” will be an easy task! “Moksha” – is all about penance, hard work and fortitude, right? *so-hum*
For the ones who don’t know what I am talking about and are finding my “reference to the Gods” a little too much crazy – I met my GODS! Yes, I sure did! Keeping all my pain and agony aside (tooth aches can be vicious!) – I finally fulfilled my forever dream of experiencing U2 in action! Thanks to the last-minute “seats availability”, which was surprising since all their others shows were sold outand my Huz’s extravagant heart – I was happily swaying and humming at the U2 eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour 2018 at Nashville, Tennessee. (God’s work, me thinks!)
Here’s my experience of “meeting my idols” – as raw, as wild, as unadulterated as it could be! *happy tears*
Hey everyone! I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend!
Well, when life gives you an opportunity to show your “mettle” in the name of kindness and benevolence – you jump right at the chance and make the most of it! And that’s what the “AutoZoners” did this weekend! *dabs like a boss*
Every summer, on the Mississippi River (Memphis), The Duncan-Williams St. Jude Dragon Boat Race takes place, to support the life-saving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital -“Finding cures. Saving children.”® And just like every year, the “AutoZoners” did what they do best – caring about people and striving for exceptional performance!
Fascinating, enthralling, prismatic – that’s how we see a butterfly. With colours and patterns so extraordinarily exquisite, a butterfly is a display to be smitten with and admire. But, was a butterfly always so beauteous? Was it always so beckoning?
Well, I used to think I knew how caterpillars become butterflies. You know, going through the regular process of metamorphosis – they weave cocoons around them, then sit inside growing six long legs, four wings, and so on, before emerging as a beautiful, winged creature. Well, as it turns out – I was so WRONG!
Hey everyone!I hope y’all have had a wonderful weekend?
It’s been a while that I have written about my travel antics and reviews on restaurants and eating joints. Thanks to the weather and the “allergies” and the “allergens” – it’s been pretty “sickly” this side! *coughs and sneezes*
And then thankfully, The Mother’s Day hype happened! (We had to find a reason to break away from the hypersensitivity mode!) For foodies like us (Me and my Huz) it was a perfect day to overlook the “flurry of pollen”, ignore the malady, dress up and celebrate!
Being vegetarians (periodic Pescatarians) it’s kind of tough to find out an eating place that caters to our ways in Memphis specially since it is known as “The Barbecued Pork Capital of the World!” and hence, we are always coursing around, looking for a joint that suits our taste.
Known for it’s GUACAMOLE that is made right at your table side (talk about freshness!), yummiest tacos, creative tapas and abundant veggie options – Babalu Tapas & Tacos seemed just right to be at and explore!
Babalu is the brainchild of successful restaurateurs Bill Latham and Al Roberts. Their latest concept – upscale Latin-inspired cuisine, was born out of the love and respect for food and for music genres such as the guaracha, cha-cha, and Latin jazz. Understanding that music unites and energizes people and is a common inspirational thread, they quickly realized they were on to something. They named their new restaurant concept Babalu, in honor of composer and singer Miguelito Valdes, a.k.a. “Mr. Babalu” and after the signature song of the television character Ricky Ricardo, played by Desi Arnaz in the television comedy series I Love Lucy and the rest as they say, is a “delicious” history!
With a slogan that goes like – “Yours. Mine. Ours. Food Worth Sharing®” – This place is all about sharing of great food, sharing of great service, and sharing of great times!
Food/Drinks ordered – GUACAMOLE , BLACKENED SCOTTISH SALMON TAPAS which are “Chef-Inspired Small Plates” , VEGETAL TACOS , a BLACK BEAN BURGER, washed down with a few glasses of MOJITOS!
