Beat The Holiday Stress!

Hey Everyone! Hope y’all are doing wonderful and making the most of the last few days for 2020!

Sorry for being MIA yet again! Motherhood for sure isn’t easy specially since you have to be your own village! (No thanks to Covid-19)

On 4th day till Christmas let’s make it OK to be “unpretentious” and NOT be “pinterest-ready” all the time! That’s right y’all, I said it! Coz believe it or not, the stress to perfection actually steals away from the “real” joy that this festive season is all about, specially for us Mamas! With all the cooking, decorating, visiting, and gift giving, the holidays can seem more like trying to meet a “high-pressure” deadline than a celebration! Add kids to that mix, it’s a steamer ready to blow off! *Phew*

How to beat this unwanted stress? I say, Mama –

Let that cookie crumble and make some mess!

Let those ornaments be haphazardly stacked on your imperfect tree!

Let your house be a living testament of laughter, fun and merriment, and not a “don’t touch it” zone!

Let the gifts be more thoughtful and less heavy on the pocket!

Let the music be loud and your happiness be real!

Let the holiday pajamas match “not!”

Let those family pictures be more natural!

Let’s make memories that’ll last a lifetime, and stories that go down generations!

Let’s stop striving for perfection and let’s learn to enjoy and appreciate the little things!

Last but not the least, let’s just take a chill-pill, sit-down by the fire, get cuddly, watch some Hallmark Movies and just relax! Remember, it’s called “holiday season” for a reason!

Y’all being “picture perfect” is seriously overrated, and what matters this holiday season is that you demonstrate kindness, compassion, sympathy and good will – as the rest will fade away, good gesture wont!
