I Got This!

A jam-packed auditorium and a million people, with ministers and diplomats in line.

"The First Woman On Mars" - It was indeed the speech of a lifetime!

"I got this", said Rita, with glistening-sparkly eyes. Her lecture-notes tightly gripped.

From a penniless orphan, living on streets, to a distinguished aeronautical prime.

This story is of dreams that refuse to crumble and DIE!

This post is in response to July Writing Prompts by A Slapdash Talk.

Today’s prompt is – “I got this” and this short story of mine is an attempt to draw attention to the “little” people in the world, who even after having so much potential in them are unable to do much in life – just because they do not have the means to do so. Let us all lend a hand! Let us all do our bit and save these precious dreams from getting shattered a little too soon in life!

PS – July Writing Prompts is a wonderfully creative initiative by A Slapdash Talk with some interesting, entertaining prompts to get your grey cells going. Follow this link to learn more about it, see other submissions, and to share your own. Come and join in the fun folks!

  2. Dreams are never truly miss placed, or should ever be discarded as a hopeless dream. Dispirit the circumstances, and challenges; a dream is always possible. A heart should ever stop dreaming, or ever give up; don’t ever let your dreams die! A lovely post Richa! 😊
