Healthy Food Series – Humor Me

Happy Tuesday y’all! It’s time for the weekly Healthy Food Series on iScriblr.

People, it’s been happy 3 months of this series and I am stoked about its success and acknowledgement. Thank you all for your inspiring words and encouragement. Yay! *happy happy dance!*
I agree that eating healthy isn’t always easy. But committing to a healthy diet can be one of the brightest decisions you’ll ever make. Not only because it is good for your health and makes you look/feel good inside out, but also because it helps save you money on future health expenses – making it an absolute, obvious “motivation potion” for our weekly Healthy Food Series! Yes, a perfect win-win situation where you have nothing to lose.

Well folks, today’s post for Healthy Food Series comes with a twist, or more precisely with some humor! Why so serious? Ha! May be I am just too happy today (Easter hangover) or may be it has been a while since I have shared some laughs. Whatever the reason, yes sir, this week, I am gonna tickle some funny bones!

Yes, you ARE what you EAT! A “sexy beast” or a “sugary cupcake!”

Guilty! Been there done that, haven’t we?

Tough choices! Aha, difficult life!

If only! 😉

It’s good to be crazy sometimes and it’s great to be funny!
Lighten up, share a laugh, chill out and don’t be shy of being happy. It’s a maddening life already – with tough jobs, difficult relationships, health concerns, money matters (blahhhhh) – and, all we need is some hilarity and playfulness to amuse ourselves out of this mayhem. To add to it, let’s not forget the therapeutic gain that laughter and happiness has on our body, life and soul. Nothing works brisker or more unfailingly to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humor not only lightens your burdens, but also inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert. It also helps you to release anger and be more compassionate.
Added bonus of laughter – it burns calories! I agree, it’s no replacement for going to the gym, but as per one research conducted by Vanderbilt University Medical Center , it was revealed that laughing for 10 to 15 minutes burns between 10 and 40 calories – which could be enough to lose three or four pounds over the course of a year! (Not bad, eh!)

“The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter.”
― Mark Twain

I say, count your blessings, invoke the child with-in you, flex those laugh lines and SMILE often friends! Find some humor in everything that you do, coz the world actually needs some more of it!

Got some laughs to share, I am all ears!

Love,

  1. I absolutely love this post, and definitely needed to read it today! The ‘meme’ about hitting the gym not being as effective as hitting the people that caused the stress in the first place made me chuckle. “The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter” – very wise words, though lightness of heart & stressing less can be so difficult when you get wrapped up in life. We probably all need the reminder that happiness and laughter are more important. Love it! x

    1. Absolutely correct Aixa! A lot matters and depends on the tribe that you hang out with. Personally speaking, I love to be with people who can laugh out loud on the sillyness that surrounds the world!💕
