Ghosts In The Machine – Three Line Tales

iScriblr_tltweek138

A ghost of a woman jumping out of the background of the television shows,
an outstretched hand reaching out from the black murk
beyond the screen of an unplugged television,
double images, fog, sound distortion, white noise
and strange static patterns,
Mary had encountered it all.

As described by the paranormal researchers who'd rushed to the scene,
this was a typical case of "Instrumental Trans-Communication"
where the ghosts and spirits were trying to communicate
with the living through a TV-like medium;
flying through the airwaves, vaulting into our lives.

Are our TVs really a sort of potential portal between these realms,
or did Mary go a little overboard
with her bingeing of "Stranger Things" on Netflix?

  1. Yes the Japanese J-horror film Ringu certainly leaves one wondering whether forms of electronic media can serve as portals to the spirit realm.

That film makes one wonder whether instead of the philosopher Marshall McCluhan’s “The medium is the message”, it turns out to be “the spirit that is the message.”

  2. 🤔 looks like I’m in good company over here
Sometimes my tv has a life of its own like it will change channels or adjust the volume… could it be watching me too. 😯
    Okay now I’m spooked 😱

    1. Hahahaha.. Better watch out, YOU! J/K 😉 😛

There is so much interesting stuff about “Instrumental Trans-Communication” on web! See if you get time to read it! 😉
