Finding My Voice

Overlooking my presence,
Neglecting my existence,
You bask in the glory of fake pretense.

Breaking my pride in lieu of your vanity,
Counterfeit conceitedness you present.

Screaming my lungs out,
I plead for some significance,
But these deafening words you fail to comprehend.

Muting my every desire to be heard,
You break, you breach my self defense.

When conversations turned numb,
My words became poetry,
In composition, my solace did I seek.

My desires take shape of varied syllables,
Writing my heart out, in verses I show my true fabric!

This post is inspired by a “super talented” fellow blogger and an exhilarating poetess – Winnie from Musings. Her wonderful imaginary and exquisite array of words, does more than just provoke your thoughts!

“What I can’t say out loud, I convey in words
My deepest desires, you can read between the lines.”

Thank you so much Winnie for stimulating my “grey cells” – Your “Wee Hour Rumination” mystically brings out the best in people around you!

Love,
