5 Skin Care Tips For Fall

Hey Everyone! I hope you are doing wonderful!

Yes, you can feel the change.. The skin is flaky and there is a nip in the air! (Well, Welcome FALL!)

skin in fall

Saying goodbye to your tank tops and shorts was never this easy. Wrinkled patchy skin, dehydrated exteriors – need more than just yoga pants and sweaters!

Here are 5 skin care tips for fall to keep you looking your wonderful best this season –

1. WATCH YOUR SKIN AND ADAPT

You will notice that when the season changes your skin does too. (Wish such good weather did not come with a price! Alas!) The once normally hydrated skin turns into a “super cracked-parched canvas with flakes!”. (Which actually makes your skin look at least 5 years older than it really is!)

Watch your skin, see the signs and accordingly, make changes to your daily routine. Nobody knows your “skin type” better that you do yourself. Do not ignore the “skin murmur” and please listen to what your skin has to say to you.

PS – A visit to your local beauty parlor/beauty consultant can help, just in case you aren’t too sure about what your skin care regime basis your skin type should be.

2. RE-ORGANIZE YOUR SKIN CARE PRODUCTS/ROUTINES

Once you have heard what your skin has to say, it shouldn’t be that difficult for you to follow the basics of skin care regime. Cleansing, Exfoliating and Face Masks – The “3-step procedure” should be scheduled and adhered to. (Strictly!) All it takes is just 30 minutes of your precious time and can be timed/adjusted during weekends. (You do deserve that pampering post a 5-6 day busy work schedule!)

Seal the moisture into your skin and go for products that are hydrating, oil based and rejuvenating. (Remember, Skin Care = Investment for a glowing you!)

Product Recommendation –

  1. Avene Cle CLINIQUE Exfoliating Scrub anance Cleansing Gel
  2. CLINIQUE Exfoliating Scrub
  3. Neutrogena Naturals Puriying Pore Scrub
  4. L’oreal Paris Pure Clay Cleansers

3. THINK AGAIN ABOUT YOUR CURRENT SOAP/SHOWER GEL

Since, it’s all about reloading your skin with moisture, you will want to find a shower gel/soap that does not make your skin drier than it already is. Personally, I ditch the gel-based shower cleanser for a creamy body wash, that only smells like fall (Ooo.. Spiced Pumpkin and Cocoa Butter! Yum!) but also hydrates and moisturizes every pore.

PS – Don’t forget your feet! A good foot scrub during shower goes a long way in keeping your feet soft and supple. (Remember, the Summers will come back again! You’ll need to wear them sandals/heels again!)

  2. Olay in-shower Body Lotion Daily Hydration with Almond
  3. Ahava Mineral Shower Gel
  4. H2O Plus Softening Mint Foot Rub

4. MOISTURIZE EVERYDAY

Moisturizing your skin on a daily basis keeps your skin younger in addition with maintaining the skin balance and radiance. It not only helps stimulate blood circulation and new cell generation but also reduces skin problems like acne. The best time to moisturize is right after you have dried off yourself post a bath. Since you are stripped off moisture after shower, this is the best time to seal it back.

PS – There is no reason to ditch the sun screen. (The sun lives forever! So does the tan!) Any regular over the counter sun screen with SPF 15 should and would be enough for the additional protection that your skin needs.

Product Recommendation –

  1. Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant with pure cocoa butter
  2. Aveeno Active Naturals skin relief 24hr moisturizing lotion

5. HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!

drink water

Drink up some water! We can and we should drink water at regular intervals throughout the day to maintain that glimmer. Its easy, effortless, basic and doesn’t cost a thing. Drinking water will not only rejuvenate you, your skin (and your insides) but will also flush out those toxins and help you lose that “winter pouch!” (Hence, don’t ditch the pitcher!)

So, Ladies (And the men who like to look good!) it is time for you to have that much-needed “heart to heart” talk with your skin.

Here’s to a new “glamorous – glistening” you! Happy pampering y’all!

I hope these tips helps you all transition your skin care routine to fall. If you have any other tips to share, hit me up!

Skin care can sometimes be a challenge, even when you hydrate, use natural products, etc. I know Florida’s tropical climate has been a challenge for my skin routine at times.😘

    1. Thank you so much Jenna!❤️

I so agree, “naturally” is the best way to deal with any ailment. Haha.. The climate here in mid-south ain’t that great either – my hair and skin is are all shriveled up!

      1. I understand my skin is so sensitive and my hands get dry and cracked..sometimes as a result of contact dermatitis.🤨 And sadly I rarely know what it was I came in contact with that irritated my skin.🤔

          1. It’s so odd..I’ve tried so many things, but I haven’t found a perm sold as of yet. We’ll just have to keep each other posted..after all two heads working together to solve a problem is better than one.😘😁🤗❤️
