13 Reasons Why I’m Thankful

Gratitude means thankfulness, noticing simple pleasures and acknowledging everything that you draw. It means that you are content with what you have and appreciate and value the quality of your life, without any complaints. Being thankful shifts your focus from what is lacking in your life to the abundance that is already present. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given. In short, it means that you say “Thank You” often and always!

IScriblr_13ReasonsWhy

Yay, I am back again with another amazing tag folks!  I was nominated for this super wonderful tag called ‘13 Reasons Why’ by Winnie from Musings. Thank you Winnie, I truly appreciate it and I appreciate you!
Guys, go check out her amazing blog and give her a follow. With bounteous heartfelt musings and profound prose on her blog, she is undeniably awesome!

Getting straight to the point, in no particular order, here is what I am appreciative of, on a daily basis –

1 MY HUSBAND

My rock! My lifeline! Well, everyone has a past, but only a few lucky ones like me have “life partners” who help heal the wounds of yesterday and give wings for a happier tomorrow. Thank God for him, I love and live my life a little more!

2 MY FAMILY

The support and love that I draw from them is unbelievable. No matter the “hows” and “whats” – my family has always been there by my side, encouraging and promoting me and my decisions and I’m so thankful to be sharing my life’s journey with them!

3 MY FRIENDS

I am really thankful to all my friends – who have been with me through the thick and thin of life. I have been lucky enough to have friends who have been my backbone through the troubled times and tough decisions, loving me unconditionally. No doubt, my sanity is all because of the “human diaries” that I call friends and I am so thankful for their presence in my life!

4 MUSIC

What’s life without some music, eh? Believe me when I say – that without music, our lives would have been a mistake! Can you imagine a world without melody and harmony? (Me can’t!)  Thanks to music I am my sane self, no matter how bad my day’s been and no matter how my heart’s been hurt! There a “song” for every emotion, every sensation!

5 MISS HAZEL

Miss Hazel – my favorite furry friend! So called BOXER by breed but a complete goof-ball, furred DIVA in all reality! Ardent, dutiful, faithful, amusing, enduring and confidant – she is a perfect companion that “lightens” up my life.

6 TRAVELLING

Nothing beats a good “travel” high! It’s been studied and successfully claimed that travelling not only creates memories for lifetime but also makes you HAPPY! When materialistic things take a back seat and only the experiences matter – that’s travelling and it’s superiority over anything else that money can buy!

7 THE BEACH

For me a “perfect” life is all about having a wonderful day at the beach – with pristine shores, revitalizing cool waters and gorgeous sunsets! Thank Heaven’s for the beaches – it’s where I seek my peace of mind and comfort.

8 MY BEST IS YET TO COME

I have far too many ideas, excitement and drive to let them go to waste! There is so much left to do and give and this undying feeling of “achieving” objectives is what keeps me alive and pushing!

9 MY FAITH IN GOD

Thank God for God – I am what I am today because of Him and my enduring faith in the miracles of life!

“In my deepest, darkest moments, what really got me through was a prayer. Sometimes my prayer was ‘Help me.’ Sometimes a prayer was ‘Thank you.’ What I’ve discovered is that intimate connection and communication with my creator will always get me through because I know my support, my help, is just a prayer away.”

10 FOOD

Yes, FOOD! Sadly, we are so fortunate to have food available that we complain about how the food tastes!

11 MY HEALTH

I am truly blessed to be in good health and thank God for keeping me alive to witness the “miracle of life”, one day at a time! When you realize that the things could have been worse, but you still are breathing with all vigor, gratitude is all that you can encompass!

12 MY HOME

Every since I was a child, I constantly looked for a place to call “my home”. I am thankful that I have found myself one! (Amen!) Rightly said and truly believed – “home is where your heart is”, and for me, coming back to my loved ones – is my home! Whenever the world becomes a little too much to handle and you miss being with the ones who care, when your life is in shambles and you need some gratifying – beyond shadow of a doubt your home is the only “Place in the World” that brings you harmony, balance and affection!

13 YOU! YES, YOU!

The encouraging words and constant motivation from each one of you is priceless. Honestly, I wouldn’t be where I am today had it been not for your kind words, support and approval. I love you all with all my heart and am thankful to each one of you for being there for me, always! Your words, your reviews, your feedback – are imperative to my self-worth and growth. Thank You!

In the end, all that I would like to emphasize on is that – when you understand and absorb the “little everyday gifts” that life has to offer to you, you become more oriented towards looking for things to be grateful for, and eventually, begin to appreciate simple pleasures (that you previously took for granted!) Understand that life in itself is a revelation and its a blessing to be a part of this phenomenon. Be thankful! Remember, it’s never too late to recognize someone or something. Start today! Smile and spread that smile – because, this is what you are made of!

I tag – Anyone and everyone who’s alive and grateful!

Let me know what you’re grateful for. Sometimes sharing or writing these down is the best way to increase your happiness!

Love,

  1. Thank you again for participating! I knew you’ll love this tag. Grateful people are happy. 😉

And thank you for that wonderful description of me. That’s too kind of you. 😊❤️❤️❤️

I had a confession to make. When I published my 13 reasons I forgot to mention Mr. Whiskey in the family hehe. I was meaning to include him. Just please don’t tell him hahaha. 😁 He’s a little bit sensitive. 😜

    1. Hahaha.. Grateful people are indeed the happiest! 😉

Thanks for giving me this opportunity sweetie! Really appreciate it!❤

Lol.. Shhh, no wont tell Whiskey! 😉 😛

  2. I’m thankful for you too! The support and kindness you give me, a stranger, has instilled my drive to pay forward what you so generously have given. It’s these little gifts that make you unique and a very popular blogger. It’s that and the unspoken bond we share (with each other as well as many others) as army brats! Keep up the amazing work. You are making a big difference in so many lives. 🤪😘

    1. Aww.. You just made my day!😘😘
Thank you so so much for your kind words. Means a lot!❤

And wait, what? An army brat! (Now I love you even more!) 🤪

      1. Yeppers. I guess that just means we are kindred spirits. 😉 Dad was in 30 years. Moved 30 or so times in my first 24 years! 😳So living in this same house for the past 18 years is a new experience every day 😬😘

        1. Oh naice! I have changed about a 13 schools (not counting college!) but in all honesty, they were the best days of my life – changing cities, meeting new people, making new friends!😬😬

Ikr!! I always wondered about us being “kindred spirits” – I now know for sure that we are!😘😘

I believe your permanent resident is suiting you well! 18 years is a pretty long time! #love ❤

          1. 13 schools? You won’t believe this but that is the same number I had! 😲 just so crazy. I won’t disagree with you, at all. Friends would always ask if it bothered me, and in all honesty, no it didn’t. I actually miss moving. There isn’t a year that goes by where I get all fidgety at some point. 🤪I also look at my kids who went to the same school all 12 years. And while they have friendships with kids they’ve known all their life, they don’t have anywhere near the world experience I have. 😳
You’re too funny. 😂Although the kindred spirit thing is a pretty cool thing. 💕At least now I know you get me. 🤫😍

          2. I so agree about the “experience” and “exposure” part – Me thinks it’s just made us wiser and a little more ready for the world and the uncertainty!🤪

I get you, always – just as you get me, always!🤫😍

          3. Totally agree. I have to say that I also think it makes us so much more resilient. It’s no easy task to attend 3 different high schools. 😧All those friends that came and went and without the luxury of any social media connection. That would have been a game changer.
            😯
Someone has to! (Get us) 😛😘

          4. I swear!!!! FB then would have been AWESOME! 😉
(Though I have now managed to connect with most of my classmates, thanks to ever growing social networking) 😉

            #bratChumsForLife 😛😘

          5. Funny/sad thing is I can’t remember a lot of friends names. I also have found a bunch on FB (although I have now been FB free for 3 months! And that def is a game changer. Especially when you realize how much time spent on it.) I also came across one of the guys I would call my only true best guy friend. I think I protected myself, especially after 8th grade, because I knew that it would break my heart when I was torn away from those friendships. So I was super careful with how close I got to friends which protected me from the heartache. I think it’s why I never had a relationship over 4 months with almost all of my girlfriends. 😕

          6. Please let me know if you got a reply to this. It’s driving me crazy because I send and I don’t see anything. 😳😕😤

          7. I am so sorry – slept early yesterday!😕

And YES, I won’t let your comments go to SPAM ever!😛😘

          8. Thanks. 😁Just weird because I reply I send and it says sent but there is no indication it sent and when I check on the blog it’s not there. 😠Just weird! 👻But thank you for looking out! 😘(Uhm you’re allowed to sleep. 😌I really don’t look for a response. If it comes it comes. But when I see no indication it sent it sent, it bothers me. But it looks like you’ve gotten them anyway. 🤔(You can also delete this when you get it. It doesn’t have to say public) 🤪

  3. You are so right to remind us of the things that we should be grateful for, it’s so easy to forget sometimes. Loved your answers and Miss Hazel is just adorable :O) xx

  4. What a beautiful, inspiring post! You made me think about the things I’m grateful for, too, and there are many. Thank you for sharing your good tidings with us. 🙂

  5. This post is simply beautiful.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget and we tend to take things for granted but this post reminds us that everything counts and we should be grateful always🙂

Btw Miss Hazel is looking rather dashing ❤️

    1. Haha.. Miss Hazel says “Thankwoof!”❤

I am glad this post resonated with you!🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by sweetie, really appreciate it!❤

  6. Miss Hazel is scrumptious. I love her “teef”!
I’m grateful for my own pets and other people’s pets too.
The other day our neighbour’s Chihuahua tried to get in our yard and was just so stinking cute, and then, her kitten friend with EXTRA TOES came to visit too. Heaven.

  7. This is amazing… 4,6,7,9,10 are like echoed from my own list of reasons why I’m thankful. It really helps put things in perspective when we focus on being grateful rather than complain about what we don’t have.
